The challenge
Hive, a Berlin startup founded in 2020, has established itself as a leading logistics partner for direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands – with more than 300 employees at five European sites and comprehensive fulfillment services.
The central challenge: an acute shortage of qualified, reliable warehouse staff threatened the efficiency and scalability of the logistics operation. From more than 5,000 staffing providers in Germany, the right partners had to be found – taking expertise, flexibility and site-specific requirements into account.
The solution
A Europe-wide provider search at the click of a button: Through the AI-supported, automated matching procedure of Tender Intelligence , staffing providers matching the requirements of a logistics company were identified and qualified. Requests, offers and selection all came together in one transparent, fast process.
The process comprised:

The result
Acquiring providers became considerably more efficient and the quality of offers rose noticeably: with an offer rate of 40% , 50 providers contacted produced 20 concrete offers. The response time was particularly remarkable – the first offer arrived after just 8 minutes.
The price differences between the offers, of up to 22% , made substantial cost optimization possible. Hive thereby secured the staffing it needed for continued growth and at the same time created a solid basis for long-term workforce planning and scaling.
