  • Integrated in Vendor Intelligence (partner P&S).

Definition and classification

Time tracking means the systematic capture of employees' working times. For an external workforce it forms the basis for timesheets, billing and Invoice verification – the approved hours are the shared truth of the client company and the provider.

How is time captured and processed further?

Capture is possible by terminal, kiosk, phone, tablet (QR code), app or web. Pactos offers time tracking through the partner P&S – fully integrated into VMS, including project time against Cost centers and approval workflows. Where capture, approval and billing are connected digitally, double entry falls away: times flow from the Shift planning through to the invoice.

Frequently asked questions

Is time tracking mandatory for external workers?

Working times have to be documented; for billing an external workforce, reliable time tracking is indispensable anyway, since it forms the basis of invoice verification.

Which capture method is the right one?

That depends on the assignment: terminals or a kiosk suit fixed sites, app or QR code capture suits mobile or changing assignments.

How does time tracking relate to billing?

Captured and approved hours are the target figure for invoice verification – without reliable time tracking, error-free billing is not possible.
